Foxcatcher TENTATIVE Schedule 2019 – Subject to Change

The Foxcatcher Tent will open Friday morning. There you will find the answers to most of your questions from the ride secretary, Louisa Emerick. Louisa will be around all day Friday. Also please don’t hesitate to call Ride Manager Holly MacDonald – her phone number is above.
Also in the Foxcatcher Tent – complimentary coffee & tea. The Pre-Ride Dinner and Briefing will be held in the tent. There will also be a bulletin board in the tent with a map of the trail and results as they become available.
Friday April 5:
10:00 am – 5:00 pm: Check in at the Foxcatcher Tent at Base Camp. Check the bulletin board at the entrance to see if your entry is complete. Packets for riders with complete entries will be available for pickup. Incomplete entries will see the Secretary.
12:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Pre-Ride Vet Checks next to the Foxcatcher Tent at Base Camp. Bring your rider card and remove the blanket from your horse. Get a number painted on your horse after passing the check.
6:00 pm. Competitor Dinner immediately followed by Pre-Ride Briefing in the Foxcatcher Tent at Base Camp. Please bring a chair.
Competitor Dinner MENU – Chicken, mac and cheese, salad, rolls, tomato basil soup, desserts (We’d love you to bring a contribution to the Sweets Table!), water, lemonaid, coffee
9:00 pm: Main lights at Base Camp turned off.
Saturday April 6:
5:00 am: Lights on and coffee started in the tent at Base Camp. Breakfast pastries will be available compliments of Wells Fargo.
7:00 am: Start of 50 Mile Ride & 50 Mile Ride & Tie (Orange Loop). Start is in the Jump Field behind base camp.
7:00 am: Start of 25 Mile Ride & 10 Mile Ride & Tie (Yellow Loop). Start is on the other side of Gallaher Road.
8:30 am: Approximate arrival time of first horses in to 10 minute “Stop & Go” hold on Appleton Road (50 mile riders) *No vetting here
8:30 am: Approximate arrival time of first horses in to hold at Base Camp (25 mile riders).
11:00 am: Complimentary Hot Dogs on the grill (as long as available)
1:00 pm: Last possible finish time for 25 mile riders. Finish is at Base Camp, near the tent.
1:00 pm: Awards available for the 25 mile riders in the tent at Base Camp after turning in Ride Evaluation
3:00 pm: Approximate time of Best Condition vet checks for 50 mile riders.
4:00 pm: Awards available for the 50 mile riders in the tent at Base Camp after turning in Ride Evaluations. * One hour following the judging of the last competitor to stand for Best Condition.
7:00 pm: Last possible finish time for 50 mile riders. Finish is just outside Base Camp in the field on the opposite side of the tunnel. Riders will return through the tunnel to Base Camp for their post-ride vet check.
